Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Stronghold La Palma Concrete website and any work you hire us to do. By browsing our home page or any other page, asking for a quote or booking a job, you agree to them.

If you sign a written estimate or contract with us, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site.

The services we offer

Stronghold La Palma Concrete is a concrete contractor in La Palma, CA. We pour and repair driveways, patios, walkways, steps, garage floors, pool decks, footings and other concrete work for homes and businesses in La Palma and the cities around it. We're licensed and fully insured, and you can read more about who we are on our About page.

What you read on this site is general information about the trade and how we work. It isn't a promise about your job. The scope, materials, price and schedule for your project are only what your written estimate or contract says.

Estimates and pricing

Quotes are free and done on site, with no pressure and no obligation. We price the job from what we can see and measure that day, so your estimate is our honest read of the work before anything is torn out.

Some conditions only show up once the old slab is out, such as soft or wet ground under it, thicker old concrete than expected, buried roots or pipes. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we stop, show you, and get your approval in writing before doing anything extra.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we'll confirm the price again before scheduling.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We give you a start date when you book, and we work hard to keep it. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour for rain, high heat or other conditions that would weaken the finished slab, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us as early as you can. Once we've ordered materials, booked a concrete delivery or started work, you may owe for those costs as your contract describes.

Payment terms

Your contract lists any deposit, the payment schedule and the ways you can pay. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.

If extra work is approved in writing during the job, it's added to the final amount at the price you agreed to. If a payment is late, we may pause work or hold off on scheduling future work until the account is current.

What we need from you

Please give our crew clear access to the work area, let us know about anything buried that utility marking won't find, like sprinkler lines or private pipes, and make sure the work stays on your own property.

Unless your contract says we handle it, checking whether your job needs a permit from your city or approval from an HOA is your responsibility. After the pour, follow our instructions on when you can walk and drive on the new concrete, because fresh concrete needs time to cure and gain strength before it carries weight.

Our guarantee and its limits

We guarantee your satisfaction on every job, and if something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty in your contract sets the details of what's covered and for how long.

Concrete can develop small hairline cracks as it dries and as the ground moves. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a straight place to crack, but no contractor can honestly promise a slab will never crack, and hairline cracks alone aren't a defect.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from using the concrete before it has cured, loads heavier than it was built for, tree roots, ground movement under areas we didn't prepare, chemicals, outside repairs, or normal wear.

The information on this website is provided as is. Beyond our guarantee and any written warranty in your contract, we make no other promises, stated or implied, to the extent California law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, Stronghold La Palma Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or delays caused by weather or conditions we couldn't see.

Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits any right you have that California law says can't be waived.

Handling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (562) 586-9385 so we can see it and try to make it right. Most problems get settled quickly that way.

If we can't settle it together, either of us may take it to a court with authority over La Palma in Orange County, California.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies to your use of the site. A job under a signed contract follows the terms that were in place when you signed it.
